World of Warcraft is introducing Shadowlands Timewalking in Patch 11.2.7, alongside a new Turbulent Timeways event. Both of these Timewalking activities are arriving in the final update for World of Warcraft: The War Within on December 2.
During Patch 11.1.7, WoW finally added Battle for Azeroth to the rotation of Timewalking expansions, after having added Classic Timewalking during the 20th anniversary event in 11.0.5. To help celebrate the occasion, World of Warcraft also kicked off a new Turbulent Timeways event to showcase the new dungeons and rewards.
Shadowlands Timewalking and Turbulent Timeways in World of Warcraft Patch 11.2.7
Now, Blizzard is planning on doing this again as a part of Patch 11.2.7. The calendar on the World of Warcraft: Midnight alpha lists December 2 as the start date for a new Turbulent Timeways event, set to run for 10 weeks. What’s more, the event kicks off with the debut of Shadowlands Timewalking, which will permanently add several dungeons from the 2020 expansion to the event’s rotation.
The dungeons that will appear in Shadowlands Timewalking have not yet been revealed, but datamining suggests The Necrotic Wake, Spires of Ascension, Plaguefall, Halls of Atonement, De Other Side, and Sanguine Depths will all be included. The calendar makes no mention of a Timewalking raid, so there probably will not be one added to this event.
Similar to previous runs of the Turbulent Timeways in WoW, this event will consist of a 10-week blitz through every Timewalking expansion in no particular order, starting and ending with Shadowlands. In addition to the normal Timewalking activities that will be available, players can complete Timewalking dungeons during the event to stack up to a 30% experience boost via the Mastery of the Timeways buff. Getting this buff for five of the 10 weeks will earn the Master of the Turbulent Timeways achievement, granting them a voucher that seems to be traded in for their choice of one of four Shadowlands-themed mount rewards. The others will ostensibly be available for purchase with Timewarped Badges.
