You can change a lot about your character after exiting character creation in World of Warcraft, but you cannot change your chosen class. It’s one of the most important decisions to make when creating a new character, and in WoW Legion Remix, class choice matters more than usual because of Order Halls, which each grant unique, class-related collection items and gear.
There are twelve playable classes in WoW Legion Remix. The only class you cannot use in Legion Remix is the Evoker, as they were not in the game when Legion launched and thus do not have an Order Hall. From the remaining available classes, consider these tips before you choose which class to play in Legion Remix.
Try a Class You Have Never Played Before
Like Pandaria Remix, Legion Remix is much more forgiving than other WoW game modes because you can gain permanent power boosts (across your account) as you progress through the event. With more Stamina, main combat stats, and other significant boosts to your power during the event, you’ll be able to learn a new class without necessarily worrying about your performance.
The first class you pick should be one that you feel comfortable with to progress quickly through content. But after getting some stat and XP boosts for your account on that character, choose a class you wouldn’t normally be interested in as your second.
By the time you reach the max level of 80, you’ll feel comfortable with the playstyle and rotation of the once-foreign class, and might even find a new favorite.
Choose a Class With A Cool Legion Remix Mount
Legion Remix brings back the Order Hall system, which in the original expansion rewarded each class with a class-specific mount upon completing the Order Hall quest line. In Legion Remix, you will earn a new fel-infused version of your class’s Order Hall mount upon reaching Level 80.
You can also purchase any class Order Hall recolor mount in Legion Remix for 20,000 Bronze, but you can only ride each mount as that mount’s associated class. So, if you really like the look of one of the new Legion Remix mounts, consider choosing the class that can ride it for your first character.
For example, if you want to get and use the Shaman’s fel-infused elemental mount, you must play a Shaman to ride it. Save yourself some Bronze by picking a class that aligns with your favorite of the new fel-infused Order Hall mounts.
Try a Tank or Healer Class To Form Groups Quickly
With Legion Remix comes the return of Legion Dungeons and Raids, some of which are not available at the start of the event, but will be unlocked about every two weeks post-launch. If you want to partake in group activities in Legion Remix, consider picking a class that will be able to find a Dungeon or Raid Finder group quickly – specifically, any class that can play either the Tank or Healer role.
Though some DPS classes and specs can be highly sought after for higher tiers of endgame content, if you play as a Tank or Healer, you’ll almost instantly find groups and make yourself much more appealing to Guilds looking to recruit for Mythic Raiding teams.
Choose a Class You Want To Bring Into WoW Midnight
One of the big draws of Legion Remix, aside from getting to re-experience one of the most fondly remembered WoW expansions, is the rapid leveling pace of the event. With all the account-wide XP boosts you gain while Timerunning, it does not take long to reach max level, especially on second and third characters, which will start with that shared increase to XP gain.
World of Warcraft: Midnight is set to come out in early 2026 as the follow-up expansion to The War Within and the second expansion of the Worldsoul Saga – the name given to the triplicate of expansions that deal with Xal’atath’s invasion of Azeroth.
The Legion Remix event will likely end just a few weeks before the launch of WoW Midnight, perfectly setting up your Timerunning characters to transfer back to the current timeline and get ready for Quel’thalas. Before choosing a character, consider whether you will be playing past Legion Remix, and if so, what class and spec you want to experience the next expansion with.
