Director Zach Cregger’s latest horror film, Weapons, only just premiered in theaters this week, yet preorders for the Limited Edition Steelbook 4K Blu-ray release are already available from multiple online retailers. There’s no release date yet, but most Blu-rays launch about three months after a film’s theatrical run, so it’ll likely be a while before this one is released. However, if the movie’s early popularity is any indication, this could sell out fast, so it’s worth preordering now if you’re interested.
$38 | Release Date TBA
The Weapons Limited Edition Steelbook 4K Blu-ray includes 4K Blu-ray, standard Blu-ray, and digital copies of the film in a steelbook case featuring the glow of 2:17 on an alarm clock on the cover, and (even creepier) interior artwork. Unfortunately, no official details have been released beyond that, though we expect it’ll support Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, and likely will include several bonus features. We’ll update this section when more details are made public.
Amazon and Gruv currently have the steelbook listed at $38, while Walmart has it at $44.25. We expect Walmart’s price will likely change to match Amazon and Gruv. The good news is, preordering at Amazon and Walmart means you’ll only pay the lowest amount if the price changes before launch, and you are only charged when the item ships.

Written, directed, and produced by Cregger, Weapons follows a community reeling from the mysterious disappearance of seventeen children from the same elementary school class who all run away at 2:17 A.M. one night. What begins as an investigation of the school teachers, faculty, and parents spirals into something much stranger and more sinister. The film has already garnered high praise from critics and audiences, adding to an already strong year for horror movies.
The Weapons Limited Edition Steelbook likely won’t arrive for several months, so if you need something to keep you busy until then, consider picking up another horror flick on 4K Blu-ray. The new 4K Steelbook Edition of Late Night With The Devil recently launched on August 5 and is available for $40 at Amazon. You can also grab one of the year’s best movies, Sinners, for $30 (was $35), and well as several other acclaimed horror movies like Smile 2 for $20 (was $32), The Witch for $16 (was $23), and Nosferatu for $23.79 (was $30).
There are also plenty of other upcoming horror film Blu-rays up for preorder, including a Limited Edition Steelbook of one of 2025’s other notable new movies, 28 Years Later, which launches September 23. Clown in a Cornfield is also getting a similar Steelbook 4K Blu-ray on September 16. You’ll also be able to grab the entire classic horror series Nightmare on Elm Street in a giant 7-Film 4K Blu-ray Collection on September 30. Preorders are available exclusively at Amazon.
