With early in-development reviews calling Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 similar to Dishonored, hype among the cult following behind the World of Darkness TTRPG and original Bloodlines game has continued to rise in anticipation of the long-awaited release of Bloodlines 2. An M-rating from the ESRB in March 2025 also gave encouraging insights into the game, teasing brutal combat, pools of blood, realistic gunfire, and even decapitations. Vampire fans can look forward to the bloody immersion and mysterious storytelling of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 when it launches across platforms on October 21.
In spite of a troubled development for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, the game’s release during the height of spooky season, paired with a decades-long nostalgia for fans of the original, could bode well for this action-packed tale from the World of Darkness. Whether the sequel will live up to the cult status of the original remains to be seen, but audiences are already counting down the days to when they will once again get to become a member of the vampiric Kindred in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.
