Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 featured a number of exciting and long-awaited announcements, including confirmation from co-publishers Paradox Interactive and White Wolf that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will finally be releasing on October 21. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be launching for PC via Epic Games Store and Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and players can now take a closer look at the story and gameplay with the latest trailer revealed at Gamescom.

The original Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines RPG was released for PC in 2004 and was met with mixed reviews due to clunky controls and a slew of performance issues. Thanks to community mods and patches over the years, the game garnered a cult following, encouraging the development of a sequel. Over 20 years after its predecessor debuted, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is ready to welcome gamers back into the World of Darkness.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Release Date, Price, and Add-ons

  • Price: $59.99
  • Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S
  • Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition (Santa Monica Memories), Premium Edition (Santa Monica Memories, Shadows and Silk)

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will launch October 21 at a retail price of $59.99, with players able to choose from standard and special editions, along with add-ons. The standard version of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will include the base game, which follows new vampire Phyre as she struggles to solve a neo-noir murder mystery in Seattle while having her mind infested with the thoughts of Malkavian detective Fabien. Those wanting to enhance their experience can get the Deluxe Edition, which includes the Santa Monica Memories cosmetic pack, or the Premium Edition, which has the Santa Monica Memories pack plus the Shadows and Silk content add-on that introduces playable Lasombra and Toreador clans. Santa Monica Memories and Shadows and Silk can both be purchased separately, and all pre-orders of Bloodlines 2 will include a special Bloodlines Nostaligia Jukebox, featuring music by Bloodlines 1 composer Rick Schaffer.

With early in-development reviews calling Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 similar to Dishonored, hype among the cult following behind the World of Darkness TTRPG and original Bloodlines game has continued to rise in anticipation of the long-awaited release of Bloodlines 2. An M-rating from the ESRB in March 2025 also gave encouraging insights into the game, teasing brutal combat, pools of blood, realistic gunfire, and even decapitations. Vampire fans can look forward to the bloody immersion and mysterious storytelling of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 when it launches across platforms on October 21.

In spite of a troubled development for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, the game’s release during the height of spooky season, paired with a decades-long nostalgia for fans of the original, could bode well for this action-packed tale from the World of Darkness. Whether the sequel will live up to the cult status of the original remains to be seen, but audiences are already counting down the days to when they will once again get to become a member of the vampiric Kindred in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.
