Ubisoft has officially announced a brand-new DLC expansion for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, with “Valley of Memory” set to receive a full reveal tomorrow. The massively popular globe-trotting assassin franchise has already seen one major release this year, with the series debuting its newest entry in the first half of 2025. Assassin’s Creed Shadows took the franchise to Feudal Japan earlier this year, with players stepping into the shoes of female ninja Fujibayashi Naoe and African samurai Yasuke. However, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is now in the spotlight of the series’ newest announcement.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage originally debuted in late 2023 as the thirteenth main-series entry into the series, set in ninth-century Baghdad. The story of Mirage follows the adventures of young thief Basim Ibn Ishaq as he becomes involved with the Hidden Ones and trains to become a full-fledged assassin. The game saw positive feedback from both fans and critics and would later receive two free updates following its launch, introducing a New Game Plus mode, a permadeath mode for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and some minor gameplay improvements. Now, Mirage is back with a brand-new DLC in the works.
Ubisoft officially announced the “Valley of Memory” DLC for Assassin’s Creed Mirage with a teaser trailer on Sunday. The trailer depicts both Basim and supporting character Dervis emerging from a long valley into an open desert environment, with what looks to be ancient ruins lying ahead. The teaser does not provide many details about what the DLC expansion will add to Assassin’s Creed Mirage, but reveals that a full announcement for the DLC will be coming tomorrow at 9 AM PT. The DLC was previously confirmed by Ubisoft to be a free update for Mirage.

The prospect of a free DLC expansion for Assassin’s Creed Mirage should look to excite fans of the Ubisoft adventure game. The DLC package was reportedly funded in no small part by Savvy Games Group, a subsidiary of the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, with the setting for the DLC said to be in a portion of modern-day Saudi Arabia. Ubisoft did confirm that it will have “full creative control” over the Assassin’s Creed Mirage DLC, addressing some concerns that the PIF’s involvement could sway Ubisoft’s handling of the expansion.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage‘s newest DLC comes at an opportune time for new players looking to check out the game. The August update to Xbox Game Pass officially added Assassin’s Creed Mirage to the subscription service, with subscribers likely able to try out the DLC for free as well. The DLC’s teaser trailer also coincides with the second anniversary of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, with October 5 marking two years since the game’s original release. Fans of Assassin’s Creed Mirage should have some exciting news ahead, with Ubisoft set to unveil everything about the new expansion.
