These Classic Mortal Kombat 2 Figures Are Selling Out Fast

It’s a big year for Mortal Kombat fans. Not only are the classic games returning to modern consoles thanks to the Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection, but there’s there’s a new live-action movie on the way, and McFarlane Toys is launching four new figures based on classic Mortal Kombat 2 designs of fan-favorite characters like Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Liu Kang, and Mileena. The new figures launch for $30 each on September 15, and preorders recently went live–however, some are already proving tough to find. Amazon’s preorders are currently sold out, though it’s worth checking the retailer’s links to see if they’re restocked. In the meantime, most of the figures are in stock at Walmart–including a Walmart-exclusive two-pack that includes Sub-Zero, Mileena, and several accessories for $70–but you’ll want to act fast before they sell out there, too.

Kicking things off is everyone’s favorite Lin-Kuei ninja, Sub-Zero, sporting his classic appearance. The figure includes an alternate pair of hands and a display base, and ships in a cool–pun intended–display box featuring his character biography screen from Mortal Kombat 2. Preorders are sold out at Amazon, but Walmart still has the figure available.

Sub-Zero’s nemesis, Scorpion, also features his original color scheme and ghostly eyes, and he’s equipped with his signature kunai rope-dart weapon. Preorders are sold out at Amazon and are not available at Walmart, but keep checking back to see if they come back in stock.

Just like the rest of the lineup, this Liu Kang captures his old-school Mortal Kombat look. For accessories, he comes with alternate hands for cool gestures, a display base, and his display box also references his Mortal Kombat 2 biography. Walmart still has preorders, but like the others, he’s currently sold out at Amazon–though it’s worth checking the links below periodically to see if stocks have returned.

Finally, there is also this two-pack featuring Sub-Zero and Mileena, which is currently the only way to purchase the Mileena figure. The set includes all the same Sub-Zero accessories as the standalone figure–including ice effects, an alternate head, and a display stand–plus an assortment of weapons and pieces for Mileena, and resevible backdrops for displaying the figures. Preorders are in stock and available exclusively at Walmart–but given the popularity of the other figures, it’s worth grabbing this two-pack soon before it sells out.

This isn’t the first time that McFarlane Toys has stepped into the Mortal Kombat ring. The company also has a line of Mortal Kombat 11 figures based on legacy characters like Liu Kang, Kabal, and Shao Kahn, as well as DLC fighters like Spawn and the Joker. While most of the McFarlane Toys Mortal Kombat 11 figures are sold out, some are still available at around or under their usual retail price. Check the list below to see them all.
