Ghost of Yotei has a lot of content when it comes to Atsu’s adventure in Ezo. Apart from the main and important quests, some tricky side quests also offer a lot of complexity and enrich the environment around Atsu. The Enemy Within is one of those tricky side quests, where Atsu must search for Goemon’s missing supplies. The Enemy Within Quest Guide In Ghost Of Yotei
You can get The Enemy Within quest by reaching the Kamikawa Trading Post, in the northern areas of Ghost of Yotei‘s map. The Trading Post is located east of the Teshio River, above the Sakuru Woods on the map. There, Atsu meets with Goemon, who says he brings the luxuries of the Mainland to Ezo. However, Atsu notices that the merchant has no merchandise. Goemon claims that he was supposed to get his merchandise three days ago through the northwestern passage. Of course, Atsu immediately knows his merchandise won’t reach him, and he needs her help to get them back. Accept the quest, which will start The Enemy Within side quest in Ghost of Yotei.
To find Goemon’s missing supplies in Ghost of Yotei, follow the road that takes Atsu to the eastern side of the Kamikawa Trading Post. The quest is marked on the map, so it’s not hard to reach the quest location.
It’s important to follow the road because Atsu will come across Goemon’s missing suppliers’ bodies scattered on the road. She’ll smell the spices, which indicate she’s closer to finding the missing supplies in Ghost of Yotei.
Keep following the road to get into an ambush against three Nine Tails enemies, hiding on top of trees. They will rain arrows on Atsu, so make sure to take them down before looking for the missing supplies in Ghost of Yotei.
After defeating the Nine Tails enemies, move to their location to find a small chest behind a big rock. Interact with the chest for Atsu to find what’s left of Goemon’s missing supplies in Ghost of Yotei.
When you return to deliver the missing supplies, Atsu will not find Goemon in the Kamikawa Trading Post. Her voice lines suggest asking the other merchants about his location, which sparks something weird. Everybody there is acting like he doesn’t exist, or they have never heard his name before, which builds doubt in Atsu’s mind.
Ask a few merchants about Goemon, then head to the lonely house on the left side of the Kamikawa Trading Post to hear Goemon begging for help. Interact with the merchant protecting the shack to spark another ambush against another wave of Nine Tails enemies. Defeat them and talk with Goemon to give him the missing supplies, and complete The Enemy Within quest in Ghost of Yotei.
