Thanks to Steam‘s Isometric Sale, users can grab $60 worth of RPGs at an 80% discount. The limited-time campaign isn’t presented by Steam itself but by META Publishing, a third-party publisher known for isometric games like Train Valley.
August has been a lucrative month for Steam gamers so far. Right now, they can get $210 worth of Sniper Elite games for just $14, thanks to Humble Bundle’s latest offer. They’ve also received free games like Barro GT, Kitchen Wars, and DRACOMATON. However, these are not the only money-spinning deals on the platform.
Steam Users Can Get $60 Worth of Games for $12 Right Now
Steam’s latest campaign has currently discounted three highly rated isometric RPGs by 80%, letting fans grab all three for about $12. The games on offer are For The King (2018), Children of Morta (2019), and Wantless: Solace at World’s End (2024). Bought separately, they would cost around $60, making this a solid deal. Even better, while all three come from indie developers, they hold a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, with some racking up over 20,000 reviews.
In terms of player count, For The King is the most popular of the three. It’s an isometric adventure game featuring dice-roll-based combat and roguelike elements. For The King also supports both online and local co-op multiplayer and includes all expansions released so far. One interesting feature that increases its replay value is its procedurally generated maps and quests, making each playthrough a unique experience.
Children of Morta uses the same procedural approach, generating random dungeons with each playthrough. At its core, it’s a roguelike dungeon-crawler with RPG elements and isometric visuals. Its combat, however, leans more toward fast-paced, hack-and-slash action. Like For The King, it features a cooperative campaign, though it’s limited to online co-op.
Lastly, Wantless: Solace at World’s End is a tactical RPG with unique features like skill crafting, which allows players to create their own abilities. What sets Wantless apart from the other games in the bundle is its emphasis on the consequences of every action. Players are encouraged to think through each move carefully—otherwise, enemies will strike back. Of course, Wantless isn’t as well-known as the other titles in Steam’s isometric games sale. However, it definitely deserves more attention from RPG fans looking to try something different.
