The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ Android tablet is down to one of its best prices of the year, with select 64GB models on sale for as little as $156 (normally $220) or $209 for the 128GB version (down from $270). Amazon is promoting these as “limited-time deals,” meaning they won’t stick around for long. While the Galaxy Tab A9+ isn’t quite as premium as an iPad, it’s an ideal device for streaming and web browsing–especially at this lower price.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ to strong reviews last year, with critics praising its large screen, solid app performance, and expandable storage, all of which are great features for a budget-level tablet. Most of the specs are shared across the two different models. Regardless of which you choose, you’ll get a sizable 11-inch display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a microSD card slot for expandable storage. It also features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695, which, although not powerful enough for demanding gaming, is perfectly fine for casual games or retro emulation.
Where things diverge is RAM–the 128GB model includes 8GB RAM while the 64GB model has just 4GB. If you plan on using the tablet’s multitasking feature or running more demanding apps and games, consider snagging the 128GB model. Not only will you get more native storage, but the additional memory will make for a smoother experience.

Beyond this Samsung tablet, the Apple iPad (A16 Chip) is on sale for $299 (was $349). Offering a similar, lightweight design and 11-inch display, consider comparing the two and seeing which is best for your needs. The iPad comes with a few cool features not found on the Samsung–such as Touch ID and a much more powerful processor in the A16–but whether it’s worth the extra cash depends on your needs. For basic streaming, web browsing, and light gaming, save yourself the money and opt for the Galaxy Tab A9+ while it’s on sale.
