Palworld‘s new Tides of Terraria update brought with it tons of Terraria-themed crossover content, along with a wave of major new features. The update, which was launched on June 25, introduced several new weapons and armor sets to the game, such as the Meowmare, the Hollowed Plate Mail, and the Eye of Cthulhu Mask. It also added three new island biomes and a single-player arena challenge mode, as well as a Moon Lord raid boss and a Terraria-inspired dungeon. Palworld even received some quality-of-life improvements, gameplay adjustments, and extra world details as part of this update.
As if all this content wasn’t exciting enough already, Tides of Terraria also added a fishing mini-game to Palworld. While fishing is probably not the first thing that fans had in mind when it came to potential new features for Palworld, it’s a surprisingly useful activity in the game. Not only can players capture an assortment of Water-element Pals by fishing, they can find tons of rare and valuable loot scattered throughout bodies of water, as well. Players can sometimes struggle to get the rewards that they want when fishing in Palworld, but with a certain duo of Pals by their side, they can easily turn this mini-game into a walk in the park.
Jelliette and Gloopie Can Aid Players a Lot in Their Fishing Endeavors
Palworld‘s Tides of Terraria update introduced a handful of new Pals with special partner skills that can aid players in fishing. One of these Pals, Jelliette, has arguably the most useful fishing-related partner skill in the entire game. When Jelliette is included in their team, players can receive an increased number of drops after completing the fishing mini-game. This can make getting certain drops a much easier task than usual, and it can easily reduce the amount of grinding that players have to do while fishing.
It Doesn’t Take a Lot of Effort to Find a Jelliette in Palworld
Although Jelliette is one of the more helpful pals in Palworld, it fortunately isn’t that hard to find. Players can stumble upon a Jelliette while fishing in many locations in the game. One of the easiest places to find it, though, is near the coast of Windswept Hills. Those who do not want to take part in the fishing mini-game, however, can also receive a Jelliette by hatching a Damp Egg, which can be found hidden throughout the islands of Palworld. Like with all other Pals in the game, players can breed certain types of Pals together to obtain a Jelliette, as well.
All Possible Breeding Combos for Jelliette and Gloopie
Jelliette:
– Jellroy x Jolthog
– Munchil x Lifmunk
– Cattiva x Foxparks Cryst
– Cremis x Pengullet Lux
– Mau x Fuack Ignis
– Jelliete x Depresso
– Jelliette x Jelliette
Gloopie:
– Turtacle x Killamari
– Turtacle x Flopie
– Herbil x Yakumo
– Herbil x Lovander
– Turtacle Terra x Munchill
– Turtacle Terra x Bristla
– Finsider x Gobfin
If players want to maximize the rewards they obtain when fishing, they should also add a Gloopie to their team. A Gloopie, for those who don’t know, is a Water and Dark-element Pal with a small humanoid figure and an octopus-like appearance. When players summon Gloopie, they can activate the Pal’s partner skill, which causes the capture gauge to decrease at a slower rate than usual during the fishing mini-game. This, in other words, makes it far easier for players to catch the Pals that they want when fishing.
Gloopie Isn’t That Easy to Find in Palworld, But It’s Worth Catching
Unlike Jelliette, Gloopie isn’t that easy to come across in Palworld. The Pal can only spawn in one specific location in the game, the Isle of Decayed Treasures. Since players have to travel across the sea to get to the Isle, they should probably have a Flying or Water-element Pal in their team, so that they can visit that location as easily as possible. Even though capturing a Gloopie is a bit of a pain, it’s definitely worth the effort. While there are other Pals in Palworld that provide fishing-related benefits, Gloopie and Jelliette are pretty much the only two Pals players need to take full advantage of the fishing mini-game.
