Updated August 26, 2025: Another week has come for Destiny 2, which means missions, challenges, and rewards have been reset. With Destiny 2‘s Ash & Iron update just a few weeks away, there appears to be plenty of new changes on the horizon. Bungie has already started sharing some of the major tweaks happening to Destiny 2 in September, though not everything has seemingly gone to plan.
Recently, Bungie announced major changes to Portal, though most fans seem fairly upset and frustrated over many of them. Specifically, Bungie announced a nerf to Solo Ops since it has seen more activity from players than the studio wanted, overshadowing the other available options. Much of the frustration surrounds the fact that Solo Ops rewards will be reduced by 1 power, making this quick and reliable method of farming much less appealing now. Backlash to the planned changes has already forced Bungie to make a change to how Prime Engrams are decrypted, so fans are hopeful that more adjustments are coming.
