This article contains spoilers from the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is completely done with Boruto and Kawaki’s fight with Jura in the Land of the Wind. A new arc is about to start, as Chapter 25 moves ahead with yet another plot twist involving Boruto and Momoshiki. Sasuke Uchiha’s apprentice has been amazing so far, especially in terms of strategic intelligence, but there’s still room for improvement.
And speaking of Sasuke, the latest chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex proved Boruto was better than Sasuke all along. Fans often compare these two characters, thanks to their similarities. Some even dubbed Boruto as the “next Sasuke,” citing reasons why he follows after Sasuke rather than his father, Naruto Uzumaki. However, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 25 made it clear that Boruto is better than Sasuke this time.
Boruto Wants to Be Like Sasuke
Boruto’s Ninja Way Aligns More With Sasuke’s
- Boruto aims to become a ninja like Sasuke Uchiha.
- Boruto has no interest in succeeding Naruto as the next Hokage.
From day one, it’s clear that Boruto Uzumaki has no intentions of following in the footsteps of the legendary Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki. Despite being the leader of Konoha and the strongest shinobi of his time, Naruto lost to Sasuke when it comes to inspiring his children to follow him. Instead of choosing Naruto as his role model, Boruto looks up to Sasuke Uchiha and fans know that very well.
In fact, Boruto even told Sarada about his goal in life in Naruto: Next Generations. Instead of aiming for the Hokage’s post like Sarada, he wants to become a ninja like Sasuke and do it according to his own ninja way, especially after he learned about Sasuke’s role in the village. No wonder Boruto was so desperate to become Sasuke’s apprentice as soon as possible. Thankfully, he earned the right to train under him.
Now, in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, it’s clear that Boruto gives the same vibes as Sasuke, especially when it comes to his appearance and fighting style. It’s going to be difficult to deny their similarities at this point, so fans should better accept the parallels between the two characters.
Boruto Mirrors Sasuke But Better in TBV Chapter 25
Boruto Just Recreated Sasuke’s Deal With Orochimaru
- Boruto proposes a deal to Momoshiki to defeat Jura.
- Boruto’s deal mirrors Sasuke’s deal with Orochimaru.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 25, Those Girls, dropped a massive cliffhanger, with Boruto offering a dangerous deal with Momoshiki Otsutsuki. This is the first time Momoshiki has appeared post-time skip, and he looks depressed until Boruto brings up the deal. Long story short, Boruto wants Momoshiki’s help to defeat Jura. If they’re able to take down the incarnation of the Ten-Tails, Boruto is ready to surrender his body to Momoshiki without fail.
Momoshiki’s response to Boruto, however, is still kept in the dark. Whether he agrees with the deal or not, Momoshiki finally has an opportunity to change his unfortunate fate. This deal mirrors Sasuke Uchiha’s deal with Orochimaru back in the original Naruto series. For context, at the time, Sasuke was desperate to grow stronger as quickly as possible, not only for the sake of revenge but also to surpass his mediocre rival, Naruto, who was growing stronger at an incredibly fast pace.
Could you consider lending me a hand? -Boruto to Momoshiki
The only difference is that Boruto seeks power not for the sake of revenge, but for strategic purposes. Unlike Sasuke, who was consumed by hatred or revenge, Boruto clearly makes smarter decisions, even if it means he has to seek power from his archnemesis. Besides, knowing Boruto, he might already have a trump card up his sleeve to keep Momoshiki under his control.
Boruto Could Surpass Sasuke
Boruto Might Be Stronger than Sasuke Now
At this point, Boruto is stronger than the current Sasuke, who is still lodged in a tree. He has polished everything that Sasuke hammered into him in training, on top of the training he received from Kashin Koji. He was able to outpace Code, even after the latter’s limiters had been removed. He also managed to hold his own against Jura in the Land of the Wind encounter.
Fans know Boruto is going to grow stronger as more chapters are released. Boruto Uzumaki’s next power-up might be the full mastery of Karma, especially now that Boruto has decided to work with Momoshiki against Jura. Unless Sasuke receives a massive power-up after he returns to normal, Boruto surpassing Sasuke would be inevitable.
