There have been rumors of the third season being released in 2028, meaning it won’t be released for another three years. The story itself is rather underwhelming and repetitive. Every arc follows the same pattern. Sung Jinwoo faces a strong opponent, who overwhelms him for a while before the hero eventually turns the tables and wins. It may seem interesting for a few arcs but becomes boring really quickly.

Even in 2025, anime like The Apothecary Diaries, Takopi’s Original Sin, and Lord of Mysteries have proven to be better than Solo Leveling. Not only have they scored high audience ratings, but they have earned praise from critics as well.
