PEAK just got its first major update, and the devs have thrown in a bunch of new items to try out. But the fun (and tricky) part is that you never really know what they will do until you use them. Some, like the Bugle of Friendship, can save the day, while others, like the Blowgun, might end up making life harder for your team.
One of the new items in PEAK‘s Mesa update is the Scout Cannon. Like other cannons in PEAK, it’s a traversal item. But how does it actually work? Here’s a guide on how to find the Scout Cannon and what you can do with it in PEAK.
How to Use Scout Cannon in PEAK
Scout Cannon is the latest type of cannon added in PEAK. It allows you to blast yourself or your friends across long distances. Once a scout picks it up, they can aim it where they want. Once you place it, you will have a short moment to jump in before it fires. These cannons can be used more than once, so everyone in your group can take a turn.
The Scout Cannon can be really helpful at times, but it’s not without its risks. You can never be totally sure where it’s going to launch you. The game doesn’t tell you exactly how far or how high it will send you. All PEAK players can do is aim it and hope for the best.
One more thing to remember is that you can’t adjust the angle once you have placed it down. So take a moment to adjust its angle carefully before setting it. If you get it wrong, you could end up landing in a tricky place with nothing to grab onto, and that’s not the kind of adventure you want.
If you want to get the best use out of the Scout Cannon, you should practice with it first. Try launching yourself at different angles and watch where you land each time. After a bit of experimenting, the Scout Cannon can help you reach places that would be tricky to get to otherwise. It won’t launch you across the map, but it can still cover a pretty good distance.
How to Find the Scout Cannon in PEAK?
Finding the Scout Cannon is not hard at all. Fans can find it in random luggage bags scattered around the PEAK world. We tried interacting with a few Ancient Statues but didn’t have any luck. This is probably because statues usually give rare items, and the Scout Cannon isn’t that rare.
