During the Hesh & Fresh season in Skate, skateboarders have plenty of daily, weekly, and seasonal tasks to complete. You can, of course, work on these alongside your story missions, and doing them unlocks a variety of rewards.
Daily tasks like slamming in Hedgemont or doing Varial Kickflips are usually carried out much faster than weekly ones, while seasonal challenges take more time and commitment; they’ll keep you glued to the screen a bit longer. One of them is doing grabs in the Orb. Here’s a quick guide to finding the Orb and performing Grab tricks there in Skate 4.
The Orb Location in Skate 4
With four neighborhoods to explore, finding The Orb may take a while if you’re unsure of its exact location. This is the area where you’ll wrap up this task, and like Block Party, its name doesn’t appear on the map.
In Skate 4, the Orb is located in the Market Mile region of San Van. You can get there even if the area is locked in story mode, so no worries. From a bird’s-eye view, it’s a large, roundish place with mostly light orange, multicolored tiles that stand out on the map. You can also spot it on the east side of the San Vansterdam City Council.
How to Perform Grabs on the Orb in Skate 4
The Orb (named The O.R.B. in the game) has multiple pipe layers you can roll on. Reaching the lowest layer from the ground is easy, but getting to the top is tricky since no pipe reaches all the way up. Players who want to skate on the upper levels can climb nearby buildings and then jump down onto the desired floor.
Use the A key to climb over one of the vine-covered walls on the north side, then continue mounting the premises’ walls, staying in the holding area; otherwise, your character will fall.
Once you’re on the Orb, start doing grabs. You need to perform 50 grab maneuvers to complete the task in Skate 4. Luckily, there’s no specific trick required, so you can try any of them. The roster includes more than 60 moves, which you can also check on Sketepedia. The simplest ones are BS and FS Grabs, which you can pull just by pressing R2 and L2 on the controller.
Once finished, you’ll receive 415 Tix, usable for skateboard skins, other items, or advancing through seasonal pages faster.
