Cleffa, the cute Baby Fairy Pokemon is back in Pokemon Legends: Z-A though finding one is a bit tricky, since this elusive creature is shy, and doesn’t seem to like gathering around other species in Wild Areas. Cleffa evolves into Clefairy, and then into Clefable, which in turn evolves into one of the new evolutions introduced in this game: Mega Clefable.
If players want to add the perfect counter for Dragon-type Pokemon to their teams, then Cleffa is a decent option. Catching and nurturing this little fellow into a powerhouse, is what this guide is about. Check it out!
How to Find Cleffa in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Cleffa can be found on Clear Sky(Sunny Days, roaming around the Rooftops of Rouge Sector 5, on the rooftop of the Looker Bureau. The map in the images above details the exact location where players can spot this tiny fellow, which spawns at levels 11 to 13, so players can catch it quite early during the adventure.
All three members of the Cleffa evolution line are Fairy-type, but when Clefable evolves into Mega Clefable, it becomes Fairy/Flying, gaining a useful extra sub-type and becoming immune to Ground-type moves.
How to Evolve Cleffa in Pokemon Legends Z-A
The Fairy-type baby Pokemon Cleffa is extremely cute, but if Trainers want to use it for combat efficiently, they need to evolve it into Clefairy. To evolve Cleffa into Clefairy, follow these steps:
- Put Cleffa in the active slot of the Party.
- Go to a Cafe/Tea Shop, and order some tea (preferably, Roserade Tea)
- Wait a few seconds, then press B to stop drinking with Tea with Cleffa.
- Open the menu, then check the party. A white arrow should have appeared over Cleffa. If not, repeat step 3 again.
- Evolve Cleffa into Clefairy.
Keep in mind that Clefairy is not the final form of this Pokemon, and the next ideal step would be to get a Moon Stone from the Stone Emporium, and follow these steps to evolve Clefairy into Clefable:
- Open the menu and then the Satchel.
- Scroll to the fourth tab pressing R, and scroll down to look for the Moon Stone.
- Select it. A small green tab with a tick should have appeared under Clefairy. That means the Pokemon is compatible with the Evolution Stone.
- Put it over Clefairy, then drop it to start its evolution into Clefable.
Clefable has a total of 483 Base Stats, which are distributed as follows:
- HP 95
- Atk 70
- Def 73
- SpA 95
- SpD 90
- Spe 60
It’s worth noting that despite not reaching a desirable level of BST, Clefable can be trained to become the perfect counter for Dragon-type Pokemon (which are more frequent in every generation). With Mega Ampharos, Mega Drampa, and Mega Dragonite rampaging through the later stages of Pokemon Legends Z-A, players will definitely want a strong Fairy-type among their ranks. Besides, Clefable can Mega Evolve using Clefablite, which can be obtained at Quasartico’s Mega Shard exchange for 240 Mega shards, though it doesn’t become available until much later in the game.
