One of Battlefield 6‘s campaign challenges requires you to complete a mission with only a pistol, but that’s easier said than done. Since most of the Battlefield 6 campaign is filled with bombastic firefights and large-scale warfare, pulling off a mission with just a pistol is a daunting task.
Thankfully, there are a few missions where it’s easy to get by with just your sidearm. You can also complete these challenges on any difficulty, so you can turn things down and not have to worry too hard about incoming damage. Here’s how to complete a mission with only a pistol in Battlefield 6.
How to Complete a Mission With Only a Pistol in Battlefield 6
Challenge Expert 3 in Battlefield 6 requires you to complete any mission with only a pistol. You can choose any campaign mission you like, and you can do this challenge on the lowest difficulty as well. The best mission to choose is Night Raid, unlocked very early in the Battlefield 6 campaign. There’s even a trophy/achievement tied to completing this mission with only a pistol, so it’s a perfect fit.
Most of this mission is stealth-based, so you won’t even have to fire your weapon for the first half of it. When the fighting does break out, the enemy squads have limited numbers, and you have a full squad to back you up. Pax Armata’s troops aren’t wearing that much protective armor either, making them prime targets for your pistol.
The only tough part of this mission is the very end, where you have to defend against a horde of Pax Armata soldiers and an attack helicopter. You have to use a launcher to destroy the helicopter, but it doesn’t count against you for this challenge. Just camp in the building with your squad and take potshots with your pistol whenever enemies get close. If you go down, you’ll have your squad standing by to revive you.
If you’d rather avoid Night Raid, then the Nile Guard mission later in the campaign is another great choice. You spend most of your time with a tank in this mission, so you don’t have to worry about firepower. Regardless of your chosen mission, make sure you don’t use any normal weapons other than your pistol. The launcher in Night Raid and the tank in Nile Guard are fine, though.
Completing Challenge Expert 3 will reward you with an XP Booster to use in Battlefield 6 multiplayer matches. It’s specifically a Hardware XP Booster, meaning it’ll increase the XP gains for your weapons and equipment instead of your overall character level.
