This article contains spoilers from Jujutsu Kaisen’s manga.
Jujutsu Kaisen is currently one of the most popular anime and manga series out there, and much of that is down to the absolutely incredible battles that Gege Akutami has illustrated in the series across many chapters. Jujutsu Kaisen’s last arc, Shinjuku Showdown, showed the fans some of the most intense battles in the entirety of the series, and at the same time, some of the most powerful cursed techniques as well.
It is no surprise to know that the mightiest of Cursed Techniques in Jujutsu Kaisen were put on display here. Sukuna went all out with his Shrine technique, as did Gojo with his immensely powerful Limitless. That said, neither of these is the most powerful Cursed Technique that Gege has revealed in his story to date. That honor goes to Comedian, which is an incredibly powerful Cursed Technique belonging to one of the Culling Game players, Fumuhiko Takaba. This cursed technique is so dangerous that Takaba was said to have Gojo-level potential while having absolutely horrendous combat prowess.
Takaba Is The Official User Of Comedian
- Takaba Being Its User Limits It Greatly
- This Technique Can Make The Impossible Happen
Gege Akutami has done incredibly well to reveal some of the most overpowered cursed techniques to the fans in JJK, and it goes without saying that Takaba’s Comedian is the most powerful of them all. Takaba’s cursed technique allows him to alter reality itself.
We had fun together! — Takaba to Kenjaku
This technique is so broken that Gege himself said that Takaba could reach Gojo’s level, and what’s more, if one thinks of it logically, he could actually have gone beyond Gojo and Sukuna’s power level. Simply put, Comedian allows Takaba to manifest into reality anything that he thinks is funny. If Takaba believes a particular scenario is funny, it will become real, without a doubt.
The craziest part is that this cursed technique doesn’t just affect Takaba’s reality, but it also affects the reality of those around him. In other words, others get drawn in with the resonance effect of his crushed technique and have their reality change as well. If Takaba were to find someone dead being revived funny, then it would happen in the blink of an eye.
Q: How broken is Comedian (超人, lit. Superhuman), couldn’t he save progress and then restart like a game?
A: It’s not as broken as that since Takaba is the one using it.
If Takaba thinks killing someone with a punch would be funny, then he’d be able to kill them with a punch. The only downside is that Takaba himself is foolishly unaware of his powers, which makes it unfortunate, because otherwise, he would’ve been absolutely unstoppable.
Under A Better User, It Can Go Beyond
According to Gege himself, Takaba’s Comedian makes him so strong that he can even rival Gojo Satoru. But, this is assuming that he can control his cursed technique. Unfortunately for him, he cannot do that. But, if someone else were to have access to this power, they would, undoubtedly, be the most broken sorcerer in the world of JJK, even stronger than Gojo or Sukuna. If Kenjaku, for instance, were to have access to this power, he’d definitely become the strongest in the world. Thankfully, Takaba didn’t want to hurt people around him, or he’d have made one hell of an enemy.
