Dungeons and Dragons has revealed Lorwyn: First Light, a new mini-expansion that brings character options, monsters, and adventures from the eponymous Magic: The Gathering setting to the TTRPG. This 32-page digital Dungeons and Dragons supplement will be available November 18 independently or as a part of the Forgotten Realms Ultimate Bundle.
Lorwyn Eclipsed is a new Magic: The Gathering set releasing on January 23, 2026. This exciting expansion returns to the enchanting plane of Lorwyn, first visited almost two decades ago in 2007. Teeming with Faeries, Boggarts, Ashkin, Merrow, Elves, and more, this mystical land carries a dark secret in the form of Shadowmoor, a twisted reflection that has begun bleeding into the otherwise idyllic realm.

However, Magic: The Gathering isn’t the only Wizards of the Coast IP getting in on the Lorwyn hype. Dungeons and Dragons has announced Lorwyn: First Light, a 32-page digital Dungeons and Dragons book focused on the popular MTG setting. This official micro-supplement will include two new backgrounds, feats, magic items, and species, plus eight monsters, tips for adapting eight other Lorwyn species as options for players, and two short adventures, each with its own map.
- Two backgrounds
- Two feats
- Two species
- Guidelines for playing eight more species of Lorwyn with existing rules
- Two magic items to help traverse Lorwyn and Shadowmoor
- Eight monsters, including incarnations of nature, faerie tricksters, and wandering giants
- Two adventures
It is hard to say what creatures and character options will appear in this supplement, given the robust setting of Lorwyn, but the announcement says it would feature “incarnations of nature, faerie tricksters, and wandering giants,” will help make both “heroic characters or mischievous creatures who hail from the Lorwyn-Shadowmoor setting,” and can help Dungeon Masters bring the realm to places like the Forgotten Realms, or vice versa. Interestingly, Dungeons and Dragons also classified Lorwyn as a Domain of Delight, a type of demiplane within the Feywild that is in many ways a counterpart to Ravenloft’s Domains of Dread in D&D.
Lorwyn: First Light is planned to release on November 18, a week after the Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerun and Adventures in Faerun D&D books they are associated with. Interested fans can pick this supplement up for $15 on its own, or as a part of the $160 Forgotten Realms Ultimate Bundle.
In addition to both Forgotten Realms books, digital maps and dice, the Atlas of Faerun, and Lorwyn: First Light, players who purchase the Forgotten Realms Ultimate Bundle will get two other 32-page digital supplements: Astarion’s Book of Hungers and Netheril’s Fall. The former will help build vampiric characters alongside one of Baldur’s Gate 3’s most beloved characters, while the latter details the decline of ancient Netheril, the sorcerous empire responsible for creating several important artifacts in Larian’s hit CRPG.
