This article contains spoilers from the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle was one of the biggest anime releases of all time, and when it was announced, all fans of anime knew that the movie would be big. That said, most fans couldn’t comprehend the actual scale of its immense popularity, and were consequently shocked at the levels of success it achieved. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 — Akaza’s Return has officially become the most successful anime movie ever, and it has taken over the whole world. It’s undoubtedly the biggest anime movie in terms of box office numbers. That said, when it comes to fan ratings, things appear to be somewhat different.
The second biggest anime movie this year, Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc, has now officially dropped, and fans are already obsessed with it. On MAL, Reze Arc has become the second-highest-rated anime movie ever, while the Infinity Castle movie hasn’t cracked the top 10, shocking and that may be.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle A Big, But The Ratings Favor Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc
- Infinity Castle is Rated 8.73
- Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc is Rated 9.03
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has become Demon Slayer’s most successful movie ever, edging out The Mugen Train, something not many fans expected would happen. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is now Japan’s number 1 box office hit, as well as one of the most successful movies this year worldwide, and the hype has yet to die down.
While Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is impressive, it’s definitely not the best-rated anime movie on MAL. When it comes to this platform, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has a current rating of 8.73, which is great, but doesn’t place it in the top 10. Meanwhile, the second biggest anime movie release this year, Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc, has reviews that are far more impressive. Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc currently has a 9.03 rating on MAL, which makes it the second-highest-rated anime movie ever, only behind Gintama: The Final, which beats it by a measly 0.03.
Will Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc Surpass Infinity Castle’s Overall Number?
Surpassing Demon Slayer Is Impossible For A Series like Chainsaw Man
While MAL ratings are great to gauge how much fans enjoyed each movie, in the end, these ratings don’t affect anything. The truth is Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is far more relevant and successful than Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc, even though Chainsaw Man’s movie adaptation is a lot more visually appealing. Chainsaw Man is simply a far smaller series compared to Demon Slayer and appeals to a smaller audience. Anyone can get into Demon Slayer, which makes it enjoyable to people of all ages, but Chainsaw Man is different.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is out in theaters now. Fans who don’t want to wait for the movies to drop can check the manga out on Manga Plus. Meanwhile, for the anime, the series currently has 4 anime seasons. These anime seasons can all be found on Crunchyroll. The remainder of the series will, however, be animated into movies, which fans will have to wait for their theatrical release to watch, depending on their country.
