Code Vein 2 has revealed that it will launch on January 30, with an opportunity for earlier access depending on the version of the game a player buys. The news broke alongside a Code Vein 2 gameplay trailer that introduces new characters and gives players an idea of what to expect.
Code Vein launched back in 2019, putting players in a post-apocalyptic future, with an anime-like art style and intense Souls-like combat. Fans have been awaiting a sequel, and now have a better idea of what will be waiting for them in Code Vein 2.
Code Vein 2 Reveals New Trailer and Release Date
During the PlayStation State of Play, Code Vein 2 debuted a new trailer, and announced that it will launch on January 30, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Players will take up the mantle of a Revenant Hunter who is assisted by a girl named Lou who has the power to transcend time, allowing them to travel 100 years into the past to try and prevent the current world’s outcome. New characters Lavinia and Josee were introduced, as well as new weapon types, blood actions, and a Forma ability called Absolute Execution Sword. Pre-orders are available now, with the Digital Ultimate Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition giving players access to the game three days early, on January 27, 2026.
