Activision has revealed tons of new information about Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, but perhaps most importantly, it’s confirmed a release date: November 14. Additionally, the publisher announced more details and live gameplay will be shared at the Call of Duty: Next event on September 30.
Call of Duty: Next has become Activision’s annual event for showcasing live gameplay for each year’s upcoming release. This live presentation usually includes tons of new details on features and talks with Call of Duty developers, as well as live gameplay featuring tons of Call of Duty content creators.
This event not only includes new information on multiplayer and Zombies, but there will also be announcements for Call of Duty: Warzone as well. If this year’s Call of Duty: Next follows the same schedule as previous years, then beta and preorder details will likely be revealed during the event, with a closed beta launching shortly after.
Black Ops 7 preorder bonuses have seemingly already leaked online, which includes an operator bundle for Viktor Reznov, a character originally introduced in Call of Duty: World at War.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will launch PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, with no Switch or Switch 2 edition confirmed. The game will feature Call of Duty’s Carry Forward program, but there are some changes to how and when the content transfers over. Make sure to check out our full preview of all the new Black Ops 7 details, which includes information on the endgame content, campaign progression, the new Zombies map, and the futuristic look for multiplayer.
This will be the first time since 2021 that a Call of Duty game launches the same year as a new Battlefield game, with Battlefield 6 releasing on October 10.
