These are the skills you should unlock to maximize your Bleed damage with Vex in Borderlands 4.

All of these skills synergize extremely well together. Bleed is a status effect that scales with Gun damage, so basically all of these skills boost Vex’s Gun and status effect damage.

This build also gives Vex Lifesteal, which will boost all of her other stats like reload speed and overall damage. Plus, skills like Enchantment and Essence Leech boost these buffs even higher when Vex’s Action Skill is active. Thanks to Grave Quickening reducing that cooldown, you’ll get to enjoy these buffs basically 24/7.

If you use Grave Harvest as your Augment, you’ll maximize your Action Skill Duration by picking up Soul Orbs. These also heal you, which will keep Vex’s health bar topped off so you can use your Lifesteal to boost your damage thanks to Blood is Power. You can use all that bonus health with the Heartpiercer Capstone skill for even more damage on top of everything else.

Best Weapons and Gear for Vex Bleed Builds

You need to use a Kinetic weapon to make the most of this build, so avoid anything with an element attached to it. Jakobs weapons never come with elemental affinities, and they’re designed with critical hits in mind. That makes Jakobs the manufacturer of choice for this Vex Bleed build.

You should ideally use a legendary Jakobs shotgun with this Vex Bleed build. Bod (obtained from Axemaul in The Toil of Spoiling Vis) is one of the best choices, and you can’t go wrong with Hellwalker, the DOOM shotgun obtained from the Meathead Riders in The Old Scrape. Hot Slugger is another solid shotgun choice since it gives a stacking damage buff on kills, and you can get it from the Callous Harbinger of Annihilating Death in Craven’s Nook.

As for Ordinances, you should look for a throwing knife that comes with the Penetrator Augment. If you hit an enemy with a Penetrator knife, all damage they receive for the next five seconds is guaranteed to be critical damage. Since critical hits trigger Bleed, you can see why this would be helpful.

Finally, you should seek out Class Mods and Enhancements that boost your Gun damage and critical chance. Class Mods that give you bonus points in Bloodletter or any other skills required for this build are a bonus. You can also roll an Enhancement that makes Jakobs weapons ricochet twice on critical hits, which will dramatically increase your damage output if you’re rocking a Jakobs gun.
