A point of interest in Kriar Village in the Interlude of Path of Exile 2 is called Roving Wisps, with a description that only states “Follow the Wisps,” indicating a side quest and an objective that needs to be done in order to clear the objective.
However, upon clearing the map and doing everything there is to do inside it, players will find that the Roving Wisps POI icon on the world map screen remains incomplete, making it impossible for completionists to 100% the area. Here is the reason why this is the case.
What are Roving Wisps in Path of Exile 2?
Roving Wisps is a point of interest located in the Kriar Village map in the Interlude section of Path of Exile 2’s campaign, indicating the presence of three Azmeri Wisps located in random locations across the map.
Like all Azmeri Wisps, the way to complete this objective is to follow the wisps until they infuse a rare monster, and then defeat that monster to obtain the loot.
Are Roving Wisps Bugged in Path of Exile 2?
Yes, the Roving Wisps quest is bugged in Path of Exile 2, with no way for players to mark the POI off as complete in the current state of the game. Even after players deal with all three Azmeri Wisps in Kriar Village, the icon on the map does not gray out like completed objectives are supposed to.
However, this only appears to be a visual bug, as once players clear the Azmeri Wisps from Kriar Village, they do not reappear, indicating that, internally, the game has marked the objective off as complete.
What are the Roving Wisps Rewards in Path of Exile 2?
There are no extra rewards for completing the Roving Wisps POI in Kriar Village other than the loot itself. The presence of the POI icon on the map screen merely indicates that three confirmed Azmeri Wisps are present on the map, similar to POIs like the Troubled Camp from previous acts of the campaign.
The reward for completing the objective is the loot you get from defeating the Azmeri Infused monsters, not anything separate. Crucially, the +40 to Spirit reward in Kriar Village has nothing to do with Roving Wisps. It is obtainable by defeating the map boss, Lythara the Wayward Spear.
