Dying Light: The Beast has several powerful legendary weapons hidden away in locations that only the most keen-eyed players will find. The legendary long-sword Excalibur (EXPcalibur II) is one of these weapons that has made an appearance in the previous entries and returns in all its glory in the sequel. However, pulling the EXPcalibur from the stone isn’t a simple process, as you’ll need to find all 8 stone sigils to place near the weapon to get it.
Where to Find All Stone Sigils for EXPcalibur in Dying Light: The Beast (Locations)
Before players make their way to get Excalibur (EXPcalibur II) from the stone, they’ll need to locate eight stone sigils scattered around the map in Dying Light: The Beast. While most of the stone sigils can be acquired without progressing the story much, some locations are only accessible after completing a specific story mission. Here’s where to find all of them.
Stone Sigil The Void Location
The first stone sigil can be found southeast of the Monastery, near the waterfalls in Dying Light: The Beast. Climb up to the high platform, and you’ll spot a small opening leading into a cave behind the waterfall.
Head inside the cave, and you’ll need to fight a few enemies before coming across some loot and a purple-rarity baseball bat at the end. Look to the left, and you’ll spot a small pond inside the cave, which you can dive into to get the Void stone sigil from a deer’s skull (antlers).
Stone Sigil The Moon Location
The next stone sigil is quite nearby to the previous location, just exit the cave and head up to the path on the right. Reach the location marked on the map above to come across a small crack that Kyle can squeeze through.
Heading through the crack, you’ll come across a hidden camp area with yellow-leaf trees and a tent. Just as you enter this area, look to the immediate left, and you’ll spot a wide stone with The Moon stone sigil placed on it.
Stone Sigil Witch’s Mark Location
The next stone sigil’s location is also nearby, but you’ll need to go around the mountain and follow the river into the pass east of the previous location. After traversing the path for a while, you’ll spot an abandoned cabin at the end of the trail.
There will be alot of zombies in the area that you can either eliminate or make a run for the cabin. Just as you enter the cabin, you’ll be able to grab the Witch’s Mark stone sigil from the wall to the right.
Stone Sigil Sacrifice Location
Head further east from the previous location, and you’ll arrive at a location with stone slabs displayed in the open. You’ll spot a small enclosed area to the left of the area that you can enter.
Once inside the area, turn around, and you’ll find the Sacrifice stone sigil on the middle wall (stone slab).
Stone Sigil Blood Location
The next area you’ll need to reach is St. Valentine Asylum, specifically its courtyard. Head to the exact location shown above to spot a fountain in the middle of the courtyard that will have the Blood stone sigil stuck to it.
Stone Sigil Curse Location
For the next stone sigil, you’ll need to head further north from the asylum, until you come across the Memorial Hill of Heroes. While facing the memorial when coming from the asylum, make a run for the treeline to the right (location marked on the image above).
As you run further into the woods, you’ll eventually come out into a small area with tree roots in the middle, and a skeleton lying next to it. You can grab the Curse stone sigil from the skeleton’s mouth.
Stone Sigil Death Location
The next location you’ll need to visit to find the stone sigil is the church inside the Old Town. This location will only be accessible after players complete the third main mission of Dying Light: The Beast called “The Beast Within.”
If you’ve completed the mission, simply head to the church’s entrance and go inside the small opening to the immediate right. This will lead to the crypt of the church, where you’ll be able to grab the Death stone sigil from the angel’s statue to the right.
Stone Sigil Shadow Location
The final sigil can be found in the Cave of Exiles, which only unlocks after players complete the eighth main story mission of the game called “Some Like It Dark.”
If you’ve got the cave unlocked, simply head inside, and you’ll find the Shadow stone sigil near the entrance, beside some cushions and candles.
How to Get Excalibur (EXPcalibur II) in Dying Light: The Beast
Now that you have all eight stone sigils in Dying Light: The Beast, it’s time to reach the EXPcalibur location and pull the sword out of the stone. The Excalibur (EXPcalibur II) is located northeast of the Monastery, atop a mount. Simply follow the location marked on the map above to reach the area.
After making it to the area, you’ll come across a series of outcroppings with vines over them. Use the first series of vines to get to a higher ledge of the outcrop.
Move around the mount to find a climbable path to the side. Use the markers on the image above to make your way to the top of the outcrop.
Once you’re at the top of the outcrop, you’ll spot a ritualistic sight with the EXPcalibur sticking out of the stone in the middle. Simply place all eight sigils at the corners of the star-shaped sticks to spawn an enemy.
Once the enemy is taken care of, you’ll be able to interact with the sword. So, start pulling the sword, which will take significantly more time than picking up another weapon (similar to previous entries). Once the white circle around the interaction prompt completes, you’ll get the legendary long-sword Excalibur (EXPcalibur) in Dying Light: The Beast.
