While the phrase “Holiday-themed Star Wars release” might bring up unpleasant memories of the Star Wars Christmas Special, this upcoming Lego Star Wars Gingerbread AT-AT Walker looks like it’ll be a much more enjoyable way to add some Star Wars flavor to your festivities. Fans will be able to grab the $60 set starting October 1. While preorders are not available, you can wishlist the Lego Star Wars Gingerbread AT-AT Walker at Lego’s online store to be notified once it’s available–which is probably a wise decision, since we expect this to be a very popular release.
$60 | Releases October 1
The 697-piece Gingerbread AT-AT Walker stands over 7.5 inches tall and is adorned with holiday lights, candy canes, and trimming designed to look like icing–just like a gingerbread house. Just about every inch of the walker has received a holiday makeover, including the Darth Vader minifigure–which appears to be made out of gingerbread and is equipped with a candy cane and cake.
A few interactive elements are scattered throughout the build, such as a side wall that opens to reveal a fireplace, table, stockings, and a pile of gifts. The legs of the AT-AT are also posable, and the cockpit can be opened and is large enough to seat a minifigure.

If you want to pick up more holiday-themed Star Wars gear, the Star Wars Advent Calendar is on sale at Walmart and Amazon right now. Typically $45, you can pick it up for just $38. It comes with 24 Lego toys for you to pose or play with, including C-3PO, BB-8, and more. A bunch of other Lego Advent Calendars are up for grabs, including those inspired by Minecraft, Disney, and Friends.
Plenty of non-holiday Lego Star Wars sets are on sale thanks to Walmart’s massive Bricktember Event, offering steep discounts on all sorts of Lego sets through the end of the month. The deals include the Lego Star Wars: Clone Wars & Mandalorian Gift Set, which is discounted to $45 (was $63) at Walmart. This 423-piece collection lets you build three different sets–the Clone Trooper & Battle Droid Battle Pack, Ambush on Mandalore Battle Pack, or Captain Rex’s Y-Wing Microfighter–and comes with a long list of minifigures. Many of the Bricktember deals are bundles that include two Lego sets at a discount, such as the UCS AT-ST and Darth Vader’s Helmet Bundle for $210 (was $280) or the Darth Maul Mech & Sith Infiltrator Starship 2-in-1 Bundle for $62 (was $88). You can also pair the Kylo Ren’s Helmet model with Darth Vader’s Helmet for $99 (normally $150) or the Command Shuttle vehicle set for $98 (normally $140).

The Gingerbread AT-AT Walker isn’t the only new Star Wars Lego set launching in October. In fact, Lego is dropping its biggest set even, the Lego Star Wars UCS Death Star, on October 4. The 9,023-piece set will feature numerous interior scenes from the original Star Wars trilogy–such as the trash compactor escape from A New Hope and Luke Skywalker’s final showdown with the Emperor and Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi–plus multiple mini vehicles to build and 38 minifigures. Check out our detailed rundown of the premium set for more information. While preorders are not yet available, you’ll be able to order the giant $1,000 set starting October 4.
