A Metroidvania game like Hollow Knight: Silksong will have a map that’s not linear and is intertwined with each other. Because of this, it’s common for some areas to be inaccessible until players unlock the correct exploration ability. One of the most crucial skills to have in HK Silksong is the wall jump. The wall jump ability in this Hollow Knight sequel is called Cling Grip. Here’s how to unlock the Cling Grip skill to wall jump in Silksong.
How To Wall Jump (Cling Grip Skill) In Silksong
To wall jump in Silksong, players must first obtain the Cling Grip skill. This ability can be claimed in Shellwood, the area after Greymoor and Bellhart.
To wall jump, simply leap to a vertical wall, then keep pressing the jump button to continue ascending.
How To Unlock Wall Jump (Cling Grip Skill) In Silksong
From Bellhart or Shellwood eastern bench, stay on the lower side of Shellwood in Silksong. Then, before reaching the bench leading to Bone Bottom, go up by bouncing on white flowers until you reach the top.
At the top, focus on heading up. If you haven’t unlocked the Bellway yet, head left to unlock the fast travel point, but if you’ve done it already, go right to continue with the journey.
Now, you’ll be in the room where the wall jump skill is, but the ability is in the top area, while you’ll be on the bottom. Therefore, continue moving right to a chamber filled with water and white flowers. Bouncing on these white flowers will lead you to one of the Pollip Hearts in Silksong, if you’ve claimed that quest previously.
Keep going right until you reach the bench room. It’s recommended not to return to the bench yet, as there will be a shortcut to it soon.
So, go up, then right, and you should see an elevator that can take you down to the bench. Go rest on the Silksong bench, heal, record your map, and get ready for a boss fight.
Once ready, head back up and continue to the right.
You should soon see some platforms that lead you up. Ascend, and then go left until you reach the Sister Splinter boss fight.
After beating the boss, head left to return to the wall jump skill room in Silksong.
From here, you must descend a little bit to find a way to the left. Once at a dead end on the left, head back up to enter the chamber to the west.
In this western chamber, you have to circle the room to reach the upper part.
After exiting through the upper route, jump across the gap to claim the wall jump (Cling Grip) skill in Silksong.
