What to Do with Mossberry in Hollow Knight: Silksong

Hollow Knight: Silksong features a vibrant world filled with hostile and friendly NPC bugs to interact with. As players start the game in Moss Grotto, they might have acquired a strange item called Mossberry. While you may not know what to do with the Mossberry at the time, you’ll eventually encounter the Moss Druid in its cave, who’ll ask Hornet to gather three Mossberries for them in exchange for a reward. So, here are the locations of the Mossberries that you can easily acquire and complete the Berry Picking quest.

How to Start the Berry Picking Quest in Silksong (Moss Druid Location)

Players will start Silksong in Moss Grotto when the Hornet’s carriage falls into a crater. While exploring the starting area, players will come across Mossberry, which is actually a quest item that you’ll need to give to the Moss Druid.

To find the Moss Druid, players will need to progress a bit further into the game until they reach the Bone Bottom area (on the left side of The Marrow). The Moss Druid can be found brewing a concoction in its cauldron inside a cave. The cave can be found towards the top-right of the area (location marked on the map).

As you reach the area near the cave, you’ll hear the laughter of the Moss Druid, which can help you hone in on the cave’s location. Once you complete the conversation with the NPC, they’ll give you the Berry Picking quest, which requires you to find three Mossberries.

Where to Find Mossberries for the Moss Druid

Mossberry Location 1

The first Mossberry can be found in the Moss Grotto, on the left side of the region. You’ll visit this area very early in the game as it’s the first room you’ll visit for the region.

Keep heading left, across the river and over the floating platforms. While you’re on this path, you’ll come across an area where you can either go to the higher ledge or straight through the moss fields ahead. Head up the ledge and move from platform to platform to find the first Mossberry.

Mossberry Location 2

The second Mossberry can also be found in the Moss Grotto, and near the location of the first one. Once you have the first Mossberry, jump down into the fields below and progress to the next area.

Keep heading right, and you’ll need to defeat some hostile bugs as you make your way up the floating platforms. Reach the highest ledge to the right, and you’ll spot a Mossberry high up and out of reach.

There’s a flying bug here that you’ll need to hit with an aerial strike to gain height (pogo) and hit the Mossberry to collect it.

Mossberry Location 3

For the final Mossberry, you can simply drop down the crevice right outside the Moss Druid’s cave. Drop to ground level and head towards the right, under the ledge, to enter a hidden cavern.

There’s a flying bug inside with a Mossberry in its mouth that you can defeat to get it.

Reward for Completing the Berry Picking Quest for Moss Druid

Once you have all three Mossberries in Hollow Knight: Silksong, simply head back to the Moss Druid in its cave and hand over the berries to it. The Moss Druid will be pleased with the Hornet’s effort and complete its concoction, completing the Berry Picking quest in Silksong.

Players will receive an Amulet of Protection called Druid’s Eye as a reward for completing the Berry Picking quest. Equipping the amulet will generate silk for Honret if she takes damage from enemies.
