A Schedule 1 player appears to have stumbled upon an incredibly fast way to earn money in the game’s big Cartel update, which entered beta earlier this week. The highly anticipated patch was Schedule 1‘s first major content update since its early access launch earlier this year. But, just like many of the indie game’s previous updates, it’s only available in beta right now, and it looks like that could be a good thing.
After finding huge success on Steam in its first few days, the game’s sole developer gave fans the opportunity to vote on the first major Schedule 1 update. The voting took place in-game, where players could choose one of three options: a Cartel update, a Police Expansion update, or a Shrooms update, which would have added a new drug type to the game. The votes quickly poured in, and it became evident that the majority of the community was eager to see a rival cartel gang added to Schedule 1. Now, after a few months of development time, the update is finally in players’ hands.
Schedule 1 Player Discovers New Money Method
Schedule 1‘s big Cartel update was only released a few days ago, but players already appear to be discovering some pretty serious issues with the patch. Reddit user Easy-Reflection-1438 took to the Schedule 1 subreddit this week to share their discovery of a new method that allows players to obtain money incredibly quickly. The user explains how players can now knock out police officers, pick-pocket them, steal their guns, and then visit the Pawn Shop to sell them for upwards of $2,000. The user says they did this for roughly 10 minutes and managed to net themselves $25,000, which is an impressive amount of money for not a lot of work.
Of course, as the update is only currently available in Schedule 1‘s Steam beta branch, issues such as this are to be expected. There’s currently no firm release date for the update’s official launch, but with methods such as these already being discovered, Tyler (the game’s developer) will likely need to address the problem and nerf it before the Cartel update is officially released. The game’s subreddit is also filled with posts claiming the beta update is incredibly buggy, which means Tyler will have a lot of bug fixes to work on.
But just hours after the Cartel update was released, Tyler took to Twitter to tease a new graffiti feature for the next Schedule 1 update. The developer showed fans a short clip of the feature, revealing that it will be added to the game in the next update or possibly the one after that.
