Upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive Lost Soul Aside is showing off some of the game’s action-packed fantasy combat, looking to be a mix between Final Fantasy stylings and Devil May Cry action. The PlayStation 5 has been home to plenty of flashy and stylistic action games that have caught the eye of the gaming world. Games like last year’s Stellar Blade and Final Fantasy 16 got their start as exclusives on Sony’s current-gen hardware, with each seeing significant success on the platform. Now, Lost Soul Aside looks to be bringing some fast-paced fighting and gorgeous visuals to the PS5.
Developed by Ultizero Games and published by Sony, Lost Soul Aside is the debut project from the China-based developer. The game is being developed in partnership with the PlayStation studio’s “China Hero Project,” aiming to promote promising game studios based in the region. Lost Soul Aside has been the main project of Ultizero Games for more than ten years, with development said to have started in 2014. A new trailer now shows the flashy action game is almost ready for fans to dive in.
The newest trailer for Lost Soul Aside shows off the different types of weapons players can take into battle. Players can utilize the Sword, Greatsword, Poleblade, or Scythe in the heat of battle, swapping between fast attacks, devastating blows, and aerial combos. The trailer also shows off the weapon switching mechanic, allowing players to freeform their combos mid-fight by alternating their weapon of choice. Lost Soul Aside is scheduled to launch as a PS5 console exclusive later this month on August 29, also being joined by a PC release on Steam.
