This article contains spoilers from Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.
Ryomen Sukuna is, quite easily, one of the most iconic anime villains, and in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, he is most certainly the best that Gege Akutami introduced. Sukuna was an absolute monster in combat, famed as the Strongest Sorcerer in History. Fans know him to be Gojo’s match, and his overall skill was such that it took an army of sorcerers to officially put him down in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc of the series. Ryomen Sukuna was eventually defeated by Yuji Itadori, and that in itself made Yuji a big shot.
Now, however, 68 years later, Japan faces a new threat. This new threat comes in the form of Simurians, which are an alien race. Their full power is yet to be revealed, but fans already know that they’re monsters in combat, given that Jujutsu comes naturally to them. Their King was officially confirmed by Gege Akutami to be a Sukuna-level threat. Now, in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 6, the name of the Simurian King has officially been revealed, and he’s called Dabura.
Dabura Is The New Strongest Sorcerer In Jujutsu Kaisen
Dabura Is The King Of Simurians
- Maru’s power is out of this world in JJK
- He’s stronger than most sorcerers
Right now in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, the strongest of all characters is, undoubtedly, the newly introduced Dabura. He is said to be incredibly powerful. While Dabura himself hasn’t been seen in combat, a good estimate about his strength can be made based on what the other sorcerers aroused him can do.
If war breaks out, we have Dabura on our side! — Cross, JJK Modulo
For one, Dabura is directly comparable to Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses from 68 years ago. He also has an army of 50,000 sorcerers, which means that he’s actually a bigger threat than Sukuna. As far as individual strength goes, Dabura is so impressive that Japan is certain they won’t be able to stop him if there is war.
“This became the spark that gave rise to “Mojuro,” which originally didn’t even have a single concrete idea, and after numerous planning meetings, it finally came to life. This will be a short-term serialization, about half a year, collected in roughly 3 volumes.” — Gege Akutami
Dabura is the strongest of the Simurians, which makes it quite easy to tell his power level. In Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 6, fans saw Maru’s power for the very first time, and it was absolutely incredible. Maru is most certainly above the level of an average Special Grade. His cursed technique allows him to control the laws of nature themselves, and he can distort the states of matter freely. What’s crazy is that Maru is far from being the strongest. Maru has a brother, Cross, who is likely just as strong, if not stronger, and then there’s Dabura, the strongest of all even above Maru. If Maru is this strong, one struggles to comprehend the power level of Dabura.
At this rate, war between humans and Simurians is inevitable. — Cross
Dabura Should Be On Gojo And Sukuna’s Level
Dabura’s Cursed Technique Hasn’t Been Revealed Yet
Quite clearly, Dabura should be close to the level of Gojo and Sukuna in JJK. In fact, even Maru has a cursed technique that, if Gege explores well, could become a rival to the likes of Shrine and Limitless. If Maru can go on to reach those heights, then it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that Dabura might even be the strongest in Jujutsu Kaisen. Unfortunately, his cursed technique hasn’t been revealed in the story yet, but it is only a matter of time before Gege Akutami gives all the readers a glimpse of his true powers.
