Want to know when the next Grow A Garden update is? Releasing weekly since the game started in March 2025, every new patch brings new items and plenty of other fun to keep you playing and collecting all the different plant and pet variants. Some events are more elaborate in their design, introducing Obbies and other secret areas to discover.
Every update in this Roblox game brings along with it a whole bunch of new unlockables, such as Grow A Garden pets with themed effects, seeds to grow in your garden, and even occasionally new Grow A Garden mutations never seen before. The best events are ones that require a little more time playing the game, such as exploring new areas outside of the main garden. The rewards are worth the effort, so below are all the details we know about the upcoming update, what’s currently in the game you should get as soon as possible, and what Admin Abuse events are.
When is the next Grow A Garden update?
The next Grow A Garden update begins on Saturday, October 118, at 10 AM ET / 7 AM PT. This weekend’s update is currently unknown, but it’s possible it could be a part two of the Ghoul Garden event that began this weekend. We’ll bring you more when the developers release information.

Current Grow A Garden event
The current Grow A Garden event began on Saturday, October 11, at 10 AM ET / 7 AM PT and will last one week. This week is the Ghoul Garden, which marks the beginning of Grow A Garden’s Halloween festivities. Expect spooky happenings and Halloween-themed weather, seeds, pets, and other quality-of-life changes. The confirmed shops are known as Spooky Seeds, Creepy Critters, and Devilish Decor.
Throughout the event, you will have access to the Cauldron. By turning in fruits to the witch, she will keep track of how much longer it’s going to take before the brew is complete, with the progress being shared across players in the game. Once finished, players who deposited the most fruit will get the best rewards, while other players will get fewer of the rewards the further down the list they are. Rewards include Pumpkin Crates, Spooky Eggs, and Candy Corn, the latter of which is the currency for the shops.
Every hour for 15 minutes, the Halloween Market will appear, allowing you to buy stuff with Candy Corn or Robux. These shops won’t restock during their appearance, so it’s worth stocking up on Candy Corn in the other 45 minutes every hour. There is also a Jack-O-Lantern that appears once every 2 hours. It’ll ask for Halloween-themed fruits, giving you some Candy Corn in return, but give him too much and he’ll give you a scare, disappearing until his next scheduled appearance.
New seeds
This update has three separate ways to get new seeds. The first bunch are available at Spooky Seeds when the Halloween Market appears, subject to availability, with rarer plants showing up less often:
- Bloodred Mushroom (Uncommon) – 15 Candy Corn or 129 Robux
- Jack O Lantern (Rare) – 24 Candy Corn or 179 Robux
- Ghoul Root (Legendary) – 40 Candy Corn or 279 Robux
- Chicken Feed (Mythical) – 65 Candy Corn or 459 Robux
- Seer Vine (Divine) – 90 Candy Corn or 629 Robux

There is also a limited-time plant you can buy at the shop:

Finally, there are two other seeds obtained via other methods:
- Banesberry (Rare) – very rarely the seed that the Bone Dog pet digs up.
- Hexberry (Uncommon) – currently unknown but could be related to the Jack-O-Lantern.
This update also introduced Daily Deals. Instead of having Tier 2 plants, you now have a small selection of plants you can buy for Sheckles, with one highlighted as the “Best Deal”. These plants will only refresh if you spend 89 Robux.

Admin Abuse events
Every update, an hour before it goes live, there is an Admin Abuse event to celebrate the incoming changes. Generally, it’s an excuse for Jandel or one of the other admins to wreak havoc on the servers. During this time, specific Admin-only Grow A Garden weather effects will occur, shops will replenish with the rarest items, and minigames will trigger, rewarding those who finish with cosmetics and other valuable prizes. Sometimes you’ll even get a free ultra-rare pet such as the Chicken Zombie or Junkbot.
We highly recommend playing this hour on a private server, or at least one with few players. This is because other players may have plants that escape the boundaries of their plot, so they may cover up valuable information or even impede your progress in giveaways. For example, in the Find the Pet weather effect, you need to search for a specific critter before time runs out. If that pet is trapped inside someone’s overgrown Briar Rose, you’re potentially missing out on a free and rare pet. We also suggest sticking around a little bit after the Admin Abuse just in case there is an encore, with more giveaways and new weather effects.
