This article contains spoilers from Solo Leveling.
Solo Leveling is one of the most exciting anime of modern times, and fans know that this series is only going to get bigger as more seasons accumulate. Right now, Solo Leveling has two seasons out, with the second one boosting its popularity to sky-high levels earlier this year. Solo Leveling has been absolutely dominating the anime market for the last two years, and its win earlier this year at the Crunchyroll Awards, where it won Anime of the Year, goes to show just that. Solo Leveling also has a shot at winning Anime of the Year next year, and that’s all down to the fact that its second season was an even bigger hit than the first one.
Undeniably, things are looking great for Solo Leveling, but what fans do know is that Solo Leveling Season 3 isn’t coming anytime soon. Despite it having been months since Solo Leveling Season 2 ended, fans haven’t even received a confirmation about Solo Leveling Season 3, let alone a release date or a trailer. This all points to Solo Leveling fans heading into 2026 with no Season 3. That said, 2026 will have its fair share of great anime, and while Solo Leveling Season 3 won’t be available to watch, its replacement, which some would say is even bigger, will be. This anime is Gege Akutami’s masterpiece modern Shonen, Jujutsu Kaisen.
Solo Leveling Won’t Be Released In 2026, But Jujutsu Kaisen Is Coming Back
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Will Be Out In January 2026
- Culling Game Arc set to begin
- Jujutsu Kaisen is more popular than Solo Leveling
Solo Leveling fans will be disappointed to know that the anime is likely not getting a Season 3 in 2026. There hasn’t been any announcement as of yet, and that only means it won’t return next year. But, that doesn’t mean 2026 won’t give them anything exciting to watch. An even bigger anime, and one just as exciting, is officially coming back. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will be out in January 2026, and fans absolutely cannot wait for it.
No, I’m warning you. Do you think you can live after trying to hurt my little brother? — Choso to Yuta Okkotsu
It goes without saying that there are tons of similarities between Solo Leveling and Jujutsu Kaisen. Both series are battle-heavy, and feature incredibly powerful main characters. At the same time, Jujutsu Kaisen also features an even better storyline and villains that are far more intimidating than what’s available to see in Solo Leveling. Any Solo Leveling fan is bound to enjoy Jujutsu Kaisen, and since they won’t be getting a continuation of their anime next year, Jujutsu Kaisen is one great series they can turn their eyes to.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will finally begin the Culling Game Arc soon, which marks the beginning of the end for the series. Culling Game is extremely battle-heavy, and fans will see great combat in just about every episode, which is what makes it very similar to Solo Leveling.
Are you listening, Sukuna? It is beginning once again. The world of Heian. The Golden Age of Sorcery is here! — Kenjaku to Sukuna
Solo Leveling Will Likely Return In 2027
No Season 3 Announcement Yet
As far as Solo Leveling Season 3 goes, fans don’t have an official release date yet. Season 3 is happening, that’s for sure, but when it’ll happen is the real question. Based on how things are going right now, it can be said that Solo Leveling Season 3 will not be coming next year. A likelier release date for it would be 2027.
As stated by the staff previously, Solo Leveling takes quite a lot of effort to produce, and the level of quality it delivers needs time. The more time they have, the better the final product will be. Solo Leveling Season 3 will likely be out in 2027 to ensure a high-level product.
