One Piece fans were eagerly waiting for One Piece chapter 1162 this week, and this is largely because it might just be one of the most anticipated chapters in the history of the series. One Piece chapter 1162 was set to continue the events of God Valley, after last week’s chapter showed Rayleigh finally rescuing Shakuyaku from the clutches of the World Government. While Shakky was saved, there is still a lot that needs to unfold. One Piece Chapter 1162 was set to give the fans a potential clash between the likes of Roger, Garp, and Rocks, and it goes without saying that fans were eagerly waiting for it to all unfold to get to the bottom of what truly went down on God Valley 38 years ago on that fateful day.
Unfortunately, fans will have to wait longer to find out what happened in God Valley. It has officially been confirmed that the One Piece manga will have to go on a sudden break, and that means fans will have to say goodbye to the story for now, at least for two weeks, or maybe even more.
One Piece Chapter 1162 Faces A Sudden Delay
Fans Say Goodbye To Manga For Two Weeks
- One Piece 1162 has been delayed for unknown reasons
- Fans suspect it could be because of Oda’s health
One Piece Chapter 1162 was officially set to drop on the upcoming Sunday. Fans expected the chapter to come out on October 5, 2025. Unfortunately, it seems that there has been a sudden delay for some reason. While Oda didn’t plan a break initially, One Piece will be left out of this week’s issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine. This means that One Piece fans will have to say goodbye to the manga for now.
The reason why One Piece is being delayed isn’t clear. However, it certainly isn’t the usual Oda break. For the fans of One Piece who follow the story closely, an Oda break isn’t a surprise. If anything, it is a part of the schedule. Oda usually takes a break after every 3 chapters, and sometimes, if he’s too tired, it’s after every 2 chapters, not including Jump breaks.
However, this break is very different. Oda didn’t plan for there to be a break on October 5. The fact that there won’t be any One Piece on October 5 2025 means that Oda’s health is the likely reason why it’s going on break. The details aren’t clear yet, but fans can only hope that Oda is in good health and spirits and that he takes the time he needs to recover from any potential issues he’s suffering from.
One Piece Should Return After Two Weeks
One Piece Chapter 1162 Will Continue The God Valley Incident
As One Piece chapter 1162 has officially been delayed, fans should expect the manga to return on October 12, 2025. This means the God Valley Incident should continue in around 2 weeks’ time. That said, depending on what the issue is, the break could be even longer. If Oda is truly suffering from some health-related issues, then One Piece could go on a longer temporary hiatus. That said, the most likely reason is Oda being exhausted, especially after drawing a lot of colorspreads recently. Fans are hoping for a quick recovery for Oda.
One Piece usually drops on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday. However, the vast majority of international readers will see the chapter available on Sunday. The official release date of One Piece Chapter 1162 is unknown at the moment. Fans can read the chapter for free on Manga Plus.
