Silent Hill f features several puzzles that will require players to carefully observe their surroundings for clues and figure out solutions. The Scales puzzle can be found in the Shimizu Residence, which is a late-game area and Hinako’s home, corrupted with nightmares. The puzzle will require you to balance miniature dolls on a set of scales, which will then slide out a key item that’s needed to solve the next puzzle. Here’s how to balance the dolls in the Scales puzzle in Silent Hill f.

How to Solve the Scales Puzzle in Silent Hill f (All Solutions)

Players can find the Scales puzzle inside Shimizu Residence II (second variant) in Silent Hill f.

You’ll need to travel to the north-western part of the house to enter a room with a toy scale and some dolls depicting in-game characters in front of it. This puzzle has a similar theme to the Ominous Photo puzzle, which also requires you to change the orientation of photo frames to reflect the person’s value in Hinako’s mind.

The goal is to arrange the dolls onto the scales in such a way that it balances, which will unlock the hidden compartment inside it.

Once you balance the scales, a secret compartment will open up, and you’ll be able to pick up the Scales Plate (Crest). This will complete the Scales puzzle in Silent Hill f, and players will be able to use the acquired crest in the My Room puzzle.

Where to Use the Scales Plate (Crest) in Silent Hill f

Players will need to return to Shimizu Residence I (first variant) to use this crest to progress the story in Silent Hill f. To do that, you’ll need to get a calendar sitting in the southwest section of the home.

After entering the location marked on the map above, Hinako will see a flashback of an encounter with her family. Once the flashback is finished, you can pick up the Calendar from the table marked with the 26th date. Hang the Calendar in the main hall to open the double doors to the left, which will lead players into Shimizu Residence III (third-variant).

You can simply head forward and enter through the same-looking double doors again to return to Shimizu Residence I (first variant). Now, you’ll be able to use the crest on the door to complete the My Room puzzle and progress the story further in Silent Hill f.
