Sony is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the PlayStation with a variety of promotions, including new shoes. Sony is teaming up with Reebok to make new shoes that “pay homage to the original PlayStation console.” There are three different designs as part of the partnership, including:
- InstaPump Fury 94 (Japan)
- Pump Omni Zone II for the U.S. (United States)
- Workout Plus (United Kingdom)
These are just the latest PlayStation shoes. Sony previously teamed up with Nike for PS5 shoes and with Adidas for Spider-Man 2 kicks.
The sneakers launch in October, and they all come in limited-edition packaging meant to evoke the console’s original design. Sony did not announce pricing for the new shoes or how to get them.
In addition the shoes, Sony announced a new book, PlayStation: The First 30 Years, which includes concept sketches, design models, and “never-before-seen” prototypes of the console. The 400-page book goes on sale in Spring 2026 and can be preordered now.
The original PlayStation launched in North America in September 1995, so this month marks the 30th anniversary. Sony’s console series spanned the PS2, PS3, PS4, and the PS5 and PS5 Pro most recently. Next up is the PlayStation 6, but we don’t know too much about the system as of yet.
