Final Fantasy 14 has confirmed that Patch 7.35, headlined by the Monster Hunter Wilds crossover event, will be released on Tuesday, October 7. The upcoming Final Fantasy 14 content patch will also include the Pilgrim’s Traverse deep dungeon, a new allied society quest chain for crafters, and the next chapter of the Hildibrand saga.
The leading feature of Final Fantasy 14‘s 7.35 update is the Monster Hunter Wilds collaboration event, culminating in an 8-player Trial battle against Guardian Arkveld. Players who defeat Guardian Arkveld will receive some cosmetic rewards, including Veldian weapons, the Hope armor set, new mounts and minions to collect, along with housing items to decorate their virtual abodes with. Guardian Arkveld will have Normal and Extreme difficulty versions for players to challenge at their own pace, as all Monster Hunter Wilds content will remain a permanent fixture in FF14. However, FF14 players must first reach level 100 and complete the main scenario quest “Dawntrail” to join the hunt for Guardian Arkveld.
Final Fantasy 14’s 7.35 Update Release Date
Final Fantasy 14 confirmed during a Tokyo Game Show 2025 panel that Patch 7.35 would launch on Tuesday, October 7. Along with the Monster Hunter Wilds content, FF14‘s next patch will have more features for players to pick from. Combat-oriented players will also have the Pilgrim’s Traverse deep dungeon to explore. Set in the fae land of Il Mheg, players are tasked with uncovering the mysteries locked beneath King Titania’s castle. To unlock the new deep dungeon, FF14 players must first clear up to floor 50 of Palace of the Dead, the game’s first deep dungeon, complete the main scenario quest “Endwalker,” and have a combat Job at level 91 or higher. After clearing Pilgrim’s Traverse, the dungeon’s final boss will have an extra, “Quantum” difficulty battle that up to four players can take on.
Patch 7.35 will also introduce Dawntrail‘s final allied society quest chain, as the Yok Huy societal quests will be available for crafters to undertake once per day. New quests will open up as players build up their reputation with the Yok Huy over time, along with exclusive rewards. Final Fantasy 14 fans looking for a light-hearted tale are in luck, as the next chapter of the fan-favorite Hildibrand quest series will be available in Patch 7.35.
October 7 will be a generally busy day for the MMORPG genre. One of Final Fantasy 14‘s main competitors, World of Warcraft, will launch its own 11.2.5 content update that same day. It remains to be seen which of Patch 7.35’s main features FF14 players will gravitate toward first.
