For the players asking how many Vaults are in Borderlands 4? They will be happy to know that there are 3 Vaults in Borderlands 4, and each of them contains a Primordial Guardian. There is a Vault for every main region of Kairos, and players can unlock them by finding the 3 Vault Key Fragments within each of these areas (except Dominion). Below, we’ll showcase where to find every Vault, along with the dedicated Legendary loot drops associated with every Primordial Guardian that players can fight in Borderlands 4, so you know if these great Vault monsters are worth fighting or not.

The Reactor Class Mod for Harlowe is currently bugged and is not dropping from Primordial Guardian Inceptus as expected. The best method to get the Reactor Class Mod is to complete Vile Bounties from the Contract Boards.
Inceptus is perhaps the easiest of the three Guardians to fight, as he starts with a Shield health bar, which is weak to Shock damage, and then a Flesh bar, which is weak to Incendiary. The only issue with Inceptus is that his Critical Hit spots are shielded on his legs and arms, meaning players need to approach him and yank them open with a grapple. Inceptus behaves like a defensive animal by backing up, swinging with his tail, and pouncing, so stay mobile to avoid his attacks. When Inceptus attaches to the ceiling, shoot at the glowing bulbs of his cocoon to break it open.
The best gear to farm from Inceptus is the class mods, as each of them has distinctive benefits that can improve the power of your chosen Vault Hunter.

Origo is the flying Primordial Guardian, so players with a focus on melee builds will want to switch out if they wish to farm this boss, for Origo does not like to land for long before swooping in the air. Origo has two Shield health bars, so Shock weapons will be extremely effective for Origo. If players want to hit him even harder, then Origo’s Critical Hit spot is located on his glowing spikey spine. Origo’s main methods involve dive bombing and stomping on the ground for splash damage. He can also switch from Cryo to Incendiary, so be careful not to match his currently attuned elemental type, as it will be weaker.
For Origo, players are going to want to farm Kaoson, as this is a great SMG that can have some incredible build potential with explosives. The Class Mods featured are okay, but they’re completely dependent on the build you’re trying to attune to.

Radix is perhaps the hardest of the three Primordial Guardians, and part of that is due to his large health pool. Radix starts with a Shield health bar and then has 2 Armor health bars. This means that players are going to want a Shock weapon, and then a Corrosive or Cryo weapon to finish him off. What makes Radix so deadly is his protective field of Shock-attuned rocks, which will spin around him to absorb damage meant for him and hit players for some lethal damage. Radix also likes to slam on the ground that can be dodged with a jump, and turns the arena into a lightning storm, so be mindful of where you stand and keep moving and shooting.
Radix has perhaps the best Legendary loot of all Primordial Guardians, as the Anarchy Shotgun is great fun for those who care less about aiming and more about Damage. Radix also has the best Class Mods for Vex and Harlowe, which really help with their builds specifically.
