
Jorel’s Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy and Eastern Exorcist are the Epic Games Store‘s free games for September 25. The newly announced freebies will conclude the Epic Games Store‘s September 2025 giveaways.
From September 11 to 18, EGS users were able to claim Ghostrunner 2, Monument Valley 2, and The Battle of Polytopia. That promotion has now been replaced with two other freebies: Samorost 2 and Project Winter.
With the Epic Games Store’s September 18 giveaway now live, the platform has also shared a preview of its next free offerings, which will consist of Eastern Exorcist and Jorel’s Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy. Both will become available to claim on September 25, at 8am PT / 11am ET / 5pm CET. Like other weekly EGS giveaways, the two freebies will be offered for exactly seven days.

What Is Eastern Excorcist?
Eastern Exorcist is a 2D side-scrolling action RPG developed by China-based Wildfire Game. It features distinctive hand-drawn visuals rooted in a classic Chinese ink painting style, delivering varied and vivid scenes. Though it wasn’t hugely commercially successful, Eastern Exorcist accumulated hundreds of “Very Positive” Steam reviews since its 2021 release. While the PC version was never before free on the platform, the Epic Games Store did give way Eastern Exorcist to mobile users in March 2025. The PC original typically retails for $17.99.
What Is Jorel’s Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy?
Developed by Double Dash Studios in collaboration with Copa Studio, Jorel’s Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy is a comedic point-and-click adventure that serves as an adaptation of Brazilian animated series Jorel’s Brother. It stars an eight-year-old boy living in the shadow of his popular older brother, featuring a story full of twists and eccentric characters. Jorel’s Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy was originally released in an episodic format, though all three of its episodes are nowadays sold together, priced at $14.99. Like Eastern Exorcist, the 2023 point-and-click adventure boasts “Very Positive” Steam user reviews.
While waiting for the final September 2025 freebies to go live, Epic Games Store users are able to claim Project Winter and Samorost 2. The former is a harsh survival game with distinctive multiplayer features that allows up to eight players to betray one another. Conversely, Samorost 2 is a surrealist adventure starring a gnome trying to save his kidnapped dog on a grand space adventure.
