One Piece is one of the longest-running manga series in the world, and also the most successful one. The series entered its 28th year recently, with no sign of slowing down anytime soon, even though the manga is in its final saga. One Piece is a story that focuses on powerful pirates with amazing stories to tell. Across the 28 years, Oda has introduced his fair share of female pirates. Many of these characters are weak, but some of them stand out from the rest, such as the likes of Boa Hancock or Big Mom.

Catarina Devon

Her ability allows her to copy the appearance and the powers of others.

Devon definitely has a lot of potential, especially since she can now transform into Saint Saturn’s Yokai form.

Bonney is the only female pirate among the supernova and Worst Generation, but she has quickly proven that she is one of their strongest members.

Bonney is just 12 years old right now in One Piece, and despite that, she is insanely powerful. This is in big part due to her Devil Fruit, the Toshi Toshi no Mi, which allows her to distort futures and turn to reality any future for herself that she truly believes in. She could even copy abilities such as Gear 5 in One Piece.

Charlotte Smoothie

The Big Mom Pirates have showcased their fair share of powerful female pirates, but aside from Big Mom, Smoothie is definitely the most impressive.

Smoothie is one of the Sweet Commanders, but sadly, Oda never allowed her a moment to shine. Despite that, fans know she is strong just via the narrative, as she ranks higher than Cracker, someone who could have defeated Gear 4 Luffy in a 1 vs. 1 battle during the events of Whole Cake Island.

Shakuyaku

It was a huge surprise to many fans to learn that Shakky, the woman Luffy and the others met on Sabaody, was actually once a fearsome pirate. Shakky was at first the Vice Captain of the Kuja Pirates before becoming the Captain herself for some time after Gloriosa left.

Shakky is stronger than she seems, and right now, she is the only confirmed character to have actually taken down the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger.

Yamato

Yamato is the child of the legendary Yonko Kaido. Yamato was a huge asset for the Straw Hat Pirates during the Onigashima war and showed impressive feats such as holding back Kaido.

Yamato is technically not a pirate at the moment, but she has had an affiliation with the Beast Pirates previously, and now with the Straw Hat Pirates. Yamato will eventually set out to sea, just like Oden did before her.

Boa Hancock

Boa Hancock is an insanely underestimated pirate who holds the great title of Pirate Empress. Hancock is currently the strongest female pirate in the game with her crew, the Kuja Pirates. She possesses the power of the Mero Mero no Mi, which turns anyone enchanted by her into stone, and she also has incredibly overpowered Haki.

Hancock hasn’t done much since the timeskip, but it seems her time to shine is coming as she has already left Amazon Lily behind. The final saga will reveal the true extent of her powers.

Big Mom

Undoubtedly, the strongest and most legendary female pirate in the One Piece story is none other than Charlotte Linlin, better known as Big Mom. Linlin was the only female pirate to hold the title of Yonko with her crew, the Big Mom Pirates.

Big Mom is, however, out of the game following the events of Wano. Her exact status is not confirmed, and she might eventually return to the story.
